AdColor has announced the winners of its 14th annual awards.
The event, which was held virtually on September 8-10 culminated in a star-studded ceremony hosted by comedian, actress, and writer Aida Rodriguez.
The event honored the contributions of individuals, organizations, and companies who have supported professionals of color.
Notable award recipients included CNN anchor Don Lemon and chief communications officer at Procter & Gamble, Damon Jones, who were both named Advocate Awards honorees.
The lifetime achievement award was presented to Renetta McCann, chief inclusion experience officer, Publicis Groupe, and Warrington Hudlin, founding president at the Black Filmmaker Foundation.
The ad of the year award was handed out to “True Name,” by McCann and Mastercard while senior content strategist, McCann Worldgroup and founder of Unapologetically Muslim, Nayantara Dutta, walked away with the Rising Star award.
Other honorees included the co-creators of the Black Lives Matter Global Network, Alicia Garza, Opal Tometi and Patrisse Cullors, as well as prominent industry figures including Janet Mock, Valeisha Butterfield Jones, and Warrington Hudlin.
