Former Coty chief marketing officer Ukonwa Ojo has been appointed CMO of Amazon Studios and Prime Video.
Anthony Donkin, the global head of Amazon Originals and Prime Video Marketing will move to a new role within the company.
Ojo has served as CMO for both MAC Cosmetics and Coty prior to joining Amazon. Additionally, she has held roles at RB, Unilever, General Mills, and others.
She will report to Mike Hopkins, SVP of Prime Video and Amazon Studios.
“I’m proud of our incredible marketing team and I’m looking forward to the exciting possibilities under Ukonwa’s leadership,” Hopkins said in an internal memo.
Ojo has an array of awards and accolades under her belt including Business Insider’s Most Innovative CMOs, AdAge 50 and A-List, Adweek 50, WWD Brand Builder of the Year, WFA Global Marketer of the Year List, Financial Times Upstanding 100 and Black Enterprise’s 25 Women Changing the World, and more.
She will officially begin her role on September 21.
