The Integer Group, a retail growth agency, has promoted Gail Obaseki to vice president, head of diversity, equality & inclusion (DE&I). Obaseki will work closely with the executive leadership team and the group’s human resources group to prioritize DEI and reflect it across client assignments that directly reach the market.

“Since day one, Gail hit the ground running with unmatched passion and dedication,” said Ellen Cook, CEO of The Integer Group. “She has introduced fresh ideas and has held us accountable to realize our DE&I goals – not only goals to achieve in the long-term, but she has effected real, impactful change that has become inherent to who we are as an agency and what we do for our clients. We are lucky to have Gail on our team, and we look forward to the impact we will continue to make together.”

Obaseki will continue to lead the agency’s DE&I council which was put in place to focus on diversity and inclusion efforts across recruitment & hiring, inspiration & education, inclusive culture, and community & partnership. She will spearhead the council in expanding Integer’s “Hear Me,” series allowing marginalized voices to come together and share meaningful discussions about what affects their communities and families, and how to impact change through alliance. At the same time, she will be the executive sponsor of Omnicom Commerce Group’s Black Employee Resource Groups (ERG), which includes Black employees across the practice area.

“I am beyond thrilled to be doing this good work that I’m so passionate about,” said Obaseki. “And I get to do it with other like-minded folk who are equally as passionate about changing our world, one heart/one mind at a time!”
Obaseki first joined Integer in November 2020, appointed as director of DE&I to evaluate, and enhance Integer’s diversity strategies and initiatives. During the same time, the talent demographics and prospective talent pool of the Group increased, and new DE&I programs were introduced and integrated into the agency.
